Analytical thinking may be one of the reasons why business consultancy firms exist today. To be an analytical thinker, you must be able to reason and think of situations logically. Mr Heinz Ludwig Klein stated during the closing ceremony of the JADE Spring Meeting 2014, that “to be an analytical thinker, you must be able to isolate situations and think deeper, not only on a surface level.”
The ability to look past face value, assess the situation and formulate an action plan towards a goal is a highly desired trait today. Small to Medium Sized Businesses face more complicated problems today that require a more analytical and thorough approach to resolving them. Nowadays, your average small business has to deal with an array of online marketing problems such as Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), ethical and environmental factors amongst others, the financial crisis issues and so on.

Furthermore, consultants must intricately examining what has been provided, is another vital aspect to existing as a consultant, let alone being a successful one.
